Hello everyone,

I have finally figured out how this “embedding” thing works now and don’t need Matthew to show me step by step (I learn quick!) So I have finally got some photos of Ethan’s birthday up for you to see! I’ll try get comments up on the photos too… but in a nutshell:

It was a water party with an under the water theme. Ethan had a whale of a time (get it??) and had a whale cake too! We had “water games” for the kids outside – it was 20deg in Northern Ireland and the UV warnings were out! Everyone had a ball and we enjoyed spending the day with special friends !

We got a face painting kit and I painted a few faces (and many more since then… keep an eye out for more photos!) and everyone joined us for lunch after the presents and games. Thanks to Jane in Italy we had a lovely Italian meal (which Matthew cooked) followed by great chocolate cake !

Grandmaman was here from South Africa and we managed to skype with Granny and Grandpa for the important bits! Technology is great!

What a day, and I can’t believe our boy is one!

What a great day! We all had the day off together for my birthday (thank you everyone for all the wishes, wow, what an international birthday!) I got a birthday breakfast, a drive in the country with coffee at a quaint coffee shop, a walk in the park with good friends and then a tasty finger supper with the Nels, and of course, birthday cake!
